Chairman's Corner 3-09-13
The Candidates Forum today was a complete success.  We had 2 of the 3 GOP US Senatorial Candidates give wonderful speaches (one called late that he was tied up) as well as 10 of the 19 local candidates.  NECN, Lowell Sun, Town Crier, Tewksbury Patch, the Rabid Republican, DaTech Guy, and maybe others covered the event.  We filled nearly all of the 80 seats and many stood.  The Mass GOP sent representation, most of the Tewksbury Selectman attended; Jim Lyons (Commonwealth of Mass Rep) was there; Warren Carey (Chairman of the Tewksbury Democratic Committee) and his lovely wife Liz (former Town Clerk) attended.  The event was well attended and many Tewksbury Voters were there to listen to the speakers.  I would like to thank the TRTC members for their heavy involvement in this event.  Donna's Donuts donated the food (and TRTC members baked),  It was a great day for the TRTC and Tewksbury.  Thanks to all of you.  We completed the day ahead of schedule and under budget.  We are true Republicans.

New Chairman Comments

I would like to thank the members of the Tewksbury Republican Town Committee for electing me Chairman.  The photo is courtesy of the Tewksbury Patch from one of the Tewksbury LIbrary Trustee Meetings.

The direction of the Committee will not deviate from prior direction.  The Committee will continue to advance membership, public service, and Republican values.  Those values include the Constitution, the Republic, & Freedom.  I tell people all over the country that I am a Massachusetts Republican.  I believe that people should have a good place to live, a good job, a good education, good healthcare, and a good meal everyday, I happen to believe they should have to work for it.  When those items are not avaliable for individual reasons we as a society need to assist to help make that a possibility.  We The People need to be We The People.

I hope that We The People will stand together and make this great country an even better country and stand against the socialism that is becoming prevalent.

Tewksbury is a conservative hard working town.  We have been an oasis in a sea of liberalism.  I am proud of this town and am honored to lead the Republican Party here.  Bob Homeyer

Outgoing Chairman's Messages
2-03-13 -

Our next meeting and the last as your Chair is on Feb. 4, 2013 at 7:00PM at the U.S. Bunting Club 449 Boylston Street Lowell, MA on the Tewks. line. To all of my friends, it is with great sadness that I am stepping down as the TRTC Chair. I have about 25 years as a TRTC member under my oversized belt. Possibly 20-22 as your Chairman. I am a candidate for Vice Chair which will allow me to spend mor...e time offering the Party suggestions for moving forward. A recent blog writen by Nicky Natteau (Associate TRTC member) and myself attracted 135 comments on Tewksbury Patch. "You may be a Conservative" listing 15 Conservative goals. We reached many people driving home important points regarding the Conservative movement. It was a very civil discussion. We will continue to lose if we continue to repeat past mistakes. We must be united and bold. We are the Party of ideas, we must not fear or retreat from our positions, we must explain them. America needs to embrace them if we expect to return to the position we once recieved comfort from. May God bless the greatest country in the world and its people. We are the light and we must shine.
